What is a White Collar Crime?

A white collar crime is one that relates to money matters. White collar crimes do not involve physical violence, but usually revolve around some sort of financial issue, such as embezzlement, fraud or misappropriation of funds. Individuals accused of committing white collar crimes are entitled to the same legal rights as those accused of crimes involving physical violence. If convicted, these individuals face fines, criminal forfeiture and sometimes, prison sentences. Due to the complex nature of most white collar cases, accused individuals must seek to employ the best defense team they can afford!!!
